An admin panel is the private part of a website where your team logs in and makes changes: adding a product, updating a price, answering an enquiry. Visitors never see it, yet for many businesses it is the part they use every day.

## Signs you need one

You change prices, stock, menus or offers more than once a month. Enquiries arrive through a form and you want them in one list instead of scattered across inboxes. More than one person on your team updates the site. If any of these is true, waiting for a developer each time will cost more over a year than building the panel once.

## When you can do without

A small site that describes your business and rarely changes may not need one. A few edits a year can be handled by your developer, and the site stays simpler and cheaper to run.

## What a good admin panel includes

Screens named after your work, such as Products, Enquiries or Menu, instead of technical terms. Image uploads that resize photos so pages stay fast. A draft state, so nothing goes live by accident. A separate login for each person, with access limited to what their job needs. A record of who changed what, so mistakes are easy to trace.

## An example from our work

For Andlibrugs, a rug manufacturer in Bhadohi, the admin panel is where the owner manages products, photos, page text and every enquiry that comes through the site. The website is what buyers see. The panel is what lets the business keep it current.

## Questions to ask before you build one

Who will use it, and how often? Which parts of the site should they be able to change, and which should stay fixed? Does it need to work well on a phone? The answers decide how large the panel needs to be.
